Thou art worthy, O Lord,
to receive glory and honor and power:
for thou hast created all things,
and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 4:11 KJV

As sheep in the tender care of Jesus Christ, you and I get to experience the unmatched joy of praising our Shepherd, basking in His Light, worshiping in His Presence. And we’re all about doing that in this week’s post.

Those of you who’ve traveled with His Own Heart Ministries this far into The LORD is My Shepherd know that we’ve covered a lot of ground over the past four weeks.

And make no mistake: we have much more ground to cover as our series for Lent 2019 continues.

For this fifth week, though, let’s take a break and do something special with a couple of someones special. Are you game? I thought so. Week 5, by the way, also affords us some breathing room to catch up or simply refresh ourselves regarding what we’ve examined thus far in our series: Christ’s role as Shepherd and our roles as the sheep of His pasture. Feel free to do just that in Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4 by accessing the respective hyperlinks of each post.

We’ve seen in this series that Christ is the ultimate Shepherd; that you, I and our fellow believers are His sheep; and that – as His sheep – we have access to some awesome privileges and blessings that define our identities in a temporal as well as in an eternal sense.

This week, we’re going to stop and worship our LORD for these privileges and blessings that flat-out overwhelm our hearts with gratitude. I first thought of making this stop at this juncture when Enon Baptist– a local church in my area – announced that it was bringing Gospel Music’s Jeff and Sheri Easter to its Salisbury, NC, campus for a live performance. Enon – as well as this multi-awarded husband/wife duo – are gifting our community with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And everyone seems to know they are; the concert’s been sold out for a few weeks now.

So His Own Heart invites you, the sheep of Christ’s pasture, to pause, graze and worship our oh-so-worthy Shepherd through this post with 10 of our favorite performances from Jeff and Sheri Easter.

Please enjoy the links below, and we’ll see you back here next week.
