…the angel said to [the shepherds],
“Do not be afraid.
I bring you good news that will cause great joy
for all the people.
Today in the town of David
a Savior has been born to you;
He is the Messiah, Christ the Lord…”
I don’t know about you, but this Christmas season got off to one of the best starts I can remember as my family got to attend Dailey and Vincent: The Joys of Christmas Tour late last month. So thinking back to that live show anointed by the Holy Spirit and chock-full of fun, a thought struck me. What better conclusion for our final installment of An Advent of Growth than by welcoming Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, into our own hearts and lives with rejoicing and worship? As we celebrate both the first coming of Jesus Christ to earth and anticipate His promised return, won’t you please join me this week with that very rejoicing and worship…and also by giving serious thought to what gifts of service we might personally give to the King of Kings throughout the coming year.
Below are links to some of my favorite Christmas carols – performed by Dailey and Vincent -one for you to enjoy over each of the next seven days; I would love for you to take time out to visit a link each day and join me in giving praise and gratitude to our Savior, the Light whose reflection we so dearly desire to cast outward as we go about living our lives today and always.
